A Good Day
Earlier this morning, Dean Tom Lee, BYU Law gave me props.
Literally. I was sitting in his office having a conversation about judicial clerkships and I looked up to find he's got his fist extended, waiting for me to meet knuckle with knuckle.
It was sick. In a totally awesome, jurisprudential way.

Sounds like your Dean is one of those "Sweet Dudes" you were talking about.
Wow! Maybe I should have gone to BYU after all. Our dean definitely does not give props. I think he worries that if he did we could slip in the rankings (if we ever fell below USC it would be his head rolling down Santa Monica Blvd).
woot woot! our profs are totally about being hip--even if they refuse to admit it. i laughed when gedicks wrote "JK" to me in an email the other day--and he asked me if that was "so yesterday." love it.
OMGOSH! The dean of the FHSS department, political science professor Dean Magleby did the SAME thing to me at one of our meetings! fist pound--crazy!
